Current Activities of Radio Amateur

[PBBS]

I am the sys.op of both JL1ZND (Fujisawa, GL=PM95RI) and JH1ZIZ (Yamato, GL=PM95RM).

JL1ZND has very unique modulation method of V.29 which is one of challenging scheme in PBBS area.

These two devices are the heart of V.29 scheme, V.29 MODEM

These are made by Rockwell International in USA. Between left and right devises, the numbers of LSI are different, However performances are the same.

[SSTV Activities]

Recently I entered to SSTV world where PC based scan converter can be used while the traditional SSTV required hardware interfaces.

 

[Other Radio Activities]

I have licenses of 1.9MHz through 1200MHz, all bands, all modes. I, however, am not so active in phone and CW. Every Sunday morning, I communicate with HL1CO on 20 meters band. He is my old friend in Korea.

[Hybrid Rajo]

Recently, a very cheap AM radio can be found in the market. I investigated its circuitry and found very classical design and it can be modified easily. I wanted to add a loud speaker however Vacuum Tube circuitry is more interesting rather than semiconductor power amp. Therefore I decided to add Vacuum Tube IF amp., detector and power amp.
